Puka Nacua shares true feelings about Rookie of the Year competition

Puka Nacua of the Los Angeles Rams and CJ Stroud of the Houston Texans are two of the leading candidates for the NFL’s offensive rookie of the year award. Nacua also discussed the competition between the two and other rookies that are in the running.

According to Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times, Puka Nacua remarked, “I know CJ, so we’re super close.” Therefore, it will be really awesome to participate in those rookies. At the Pro Bowl, I got to know each and every one of them. It’s unbelievable that we all had such fantastic first years. Whoever wins, I’ll be thrilled for them.”

The Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta, the Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson, and the Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs are the other finalists for the offensive rookie of the year award, which will be presented tonight at the NFL Honors in addition to Nacua and CJ Stroud.

With the Rams, Nacua had an excellent rookie season in the NFL, logging 1,486 receiving yards and six touchdowns. For the most receiving yards in a rookie season, that stands as the record. From the beginning of the season, he proved to be an invaluable asset to Matthew Stafford and the Rams.
