Middlesbrough signs a free agent

Although the Teessiders had early talks with several prospective attackers last month, they were unable to add another forward before the transfer market closed.

On deadline day, Morgan Rogers departed for Aston Villa in a deal that might ultimately be valued over £16 million. Matt Crooks is also expected to leave in the coming days to join Real Salt Lake of the Major League Soccer in the United States.

The loss of both players lowers Boro’s attacking output at a time when Josh Coburn needs to be treated for a groin injury and Emmanuel Latte Lath is still out due to injury. Head of football Kieran Scott hinted earlier this week that the club may be able to expand their options at a low cost through the free-agent market.

As of right now, no talks have happened and it’s not thought that a workable aim has been found. Carrick acknowledges that the issue is being watched closely in case anything changes.

The Boro boss stated, “We’re always having conversations like that, and there’s no decisions made either way yet.” “There are usually a lot of variables involved.

“We’re always on the lookout for opportunities that we believe will help us grow as people or enhance our situation. If such opportunities arise, we will seize them without hesitation.

However, the current plan remains unchanged from the previous one. It is still going on. We will take appropriate action should unexpected events arise.
