Report:Bengals star to retire

In the NFL Draft of 2023, the Cincinnati Bengals selected defensive end Myles Murphy with the 28th overall pick.

Some folks were startled by this selection since they thought the Bengals would target a tight end or another position of greater need. Rather, they chose the one who ranked highest on their board. When choosing Murphy, they made an investment or long-term view.

His anticipated position in the first round was mid. Because of his poor performance at Clemson, he was eliminated at the end of the round. At the EDGE position, he met all of the Bengals’ expectations. He satisfies every requirement Duke Tobin has for the job.

Now that we are approximately halfway through his freshman year, how is it going?

This season, Murphy has been buried deep on the Bengals depth chart. Trey Hendrickson (70%) and Sam Hubbard (78%) have played the majority of the defensive snaps so far this season, demonstrating the plenty of quality on the team.

After the two veterans, Cam Sample is the obvious third guy and has taken up 33% of the remaining snaps. Only roughly 10% of defensive snaps are given to Joseph Ossai and Murphy because those are the only players left after the top 3.
