Nashville, Tennessee It is said that a Tennessee Volunteer will return home to take over as the next quarterbacks coach for the Tennessee Titans.
No, it’s not Peyton Manning, the legendary Vols player, who has openly commended the Titans for appointing Brian Callahan as head coach.
However, the new addition to the Titans is Bo Hardegree, who also played for the Vols and grew up in Jackson.
It will be expected of him to continue Will Levis’s education as the team’s likely quarterback in the future. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network broke the initial story on the Hardegree.
After head coach Josh McDaniels was fired in 2023, Hardegree served as the Las Vegas Raiders’ interim offensive coordinator.
With rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell, the Raiders won five of their nine games while scoring 23 points per contest on average.
Working under Callahan, Hardegree, 39, began his NFL career in 2014 as an offensive quality control coach in Denver.
After that, in 2015, he worked as an offensive assistant with the Bears. In 2016, he was hired by the Dolphins to train their quarterbacks. In 2019 and 2020, he served as the Jets’ head coach under Dennard Wilson, who is currently the Titans’ defensive coordinator.
