In a somewhat shocking turn of events, the Philadelphia Eagles could wind up trading away one of their best defenders. According to Ian Rapoport, Haason Reddick has been permitted to seek a trade partner, meaning the Eagles could part with their top pass rusher.
Signed as a free agent in 2022, Reddick has 27 sacks over the past two seasons. But with Vic Fangio taking over as defensive coordinator, he might be ready to move on. He could wind up being joined by others as well following their coaching shake-ups, and here are six players who might look for a way out.
. Kelee Ringo, Cornerback
It’s not often a fourth-round pick would have much sway at all, let alone to ask for a trade, but Kelee Ringo could be someone who wouldn’t mind looking outside of Philadelphia. A former star for Georgia, Ringo once appeared destined to be selected in late Round 1 or early Round 2. His star lost some shine late in his career but there was still a lot to like about the former Bulldogs’ skill set.
5. Kenneth Gainwell, Running Back
A fifth-round pick in 2021 out of Memphis, Kenneth Gainwell flashed his potential as a rookie with 291 yards and five touchdowns. He averaged an impressive 4.3 yards per rush and added 253 yards and a touchdown on 33 receptions. His overall numbers declined in 2022 but he still had 409 yards from scrimmage with four touchdowns. He then stepped up in the postseason.
