A former Met is now joining one of the Yankees’ American League East rivals.
The Toronto Blue Jays reached a deal with veteran infielder Eduardo Escobar on Thursday night, The Post’s Jon Heyman confirmed.
The club has not confirmed the deal.
The Mets traded the 35-year-old veteran to the Los Angeles Angels for two minor league pitchers on June 24, a month before last season’s trade deadline.
Escobar — who had signed a two-year, $20 million deal with the Mets before the 2022 season — had just six homers and 31 RBIs in 99 games for the Amazin’s and Angels last season.
