Igor Thiago, a striker, has signed with Brentford from Club Brugge. The striker is expected to replace Ivan Toney.
It has been revealed by Brentford that Igor Thiago will sign a five-year contract with the team when the transfer market opens on July 1.
Thiago will stay with Brugge until the end of the current season, but he has inked a five-year contract with Brentford, with a sixth year option.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Thiago will cost more than £30 million, raising the possibility that the striker would take Ivan Toney’s spot.
Given the duration of Toney’s contract, Brentford manager Thomas Frank caused quite a stir last week when he informed the media that the player will most likely be sold in the summer.

In response to those remarks made after he scored on Saturday against Wolves, Toney said they demonstrated the present club’s lack of interest in keeping him around.
“That seems like he doesn’t want me,” Toney remarked. Yes, the manager has stated what he has said.
“Listen, I’m not able to force clubs to pursue me. All I have to do is keep doing what I do best—score goals.
“Whatever will be, will be, as I said.”
