The San Antonio Spurs are still trying to find a player to complement Victor Wembanyama as a second star. Devin Vassell has impressed as of late and looks like a bonafide starter on any NBA team, but he does not have the superstar status that the Spurs could use.
Trae Young has been mentioned as a possible trade target for the Spurs this summer. After the trade that sent Dejounte Murray to the Atlanta Hawks, the Spurs effectively own Atlanta’s future, so if the Hawks want to rebuild, they should turn toward Texas.
