Report;Luton town in great demand

Whatever transpires at Kenilworth Road this season, former Liverpool and England defender Jamie Carragher thinks Luton boss Rob Edwards will be in high demand come summertime.

The former Forest Green and Watford manager was appointed in November 2021, and he has done an absolutely fantastic job in Bedfordshire, taking the Hatters to the top flight with a play-off final victory against Coventry City at Wembley. Similar to the Hatters’ players, Edwards has successfully adjusted to his first Premier League season as manager, demonstrating excellence in all facet of his job, especially when it comes to working with the media.

The former Welsh international, who is also a skilled tactician, swiftly gave up the lineup that had brought Luton such delight in reaching this point. He recently said he would “cringe” if he had to watch the first four games of the season again. Having adopted a new tactical configuration that aimed to make Town far more difficult to beat from the start and recently improving their possession efficiency, the Hatters have given themselves a great opportunity to survive this season after being written off by most, if not all, back in the summer.
