Baltimore Ravens Secure Nelson Agholor With One Year Extension

The Baltimore Ravens have ensured the return of veteran wide receiver Nelson Agholor, signing him to a one-year extension on Sunday. The move strategically prevents Agholor from hitting free agency and maintains continuity among Lamar Jackson”s receiving corps.

Details of the contract extension, including financial terms, have not been disclosed yet.

Agholor”s contract was set to void by Monday at 4 p.m. ET, carrying the potential for $1.668 million in dead money against the Ravens” 2024 salary cap if left unaddressed.

In his first season with the Ravens, the 30-year-old wideout showcased his versatility by hauling in 35 receptions for 381 yards, ranking him fifth among Ravens receivers. Agholor also contributed four touchdowns, further solidifying his impact on the team”s passing game.

With Agholor back on board, three of Lamar Jackson”s top four targets will return for the upcoming season. The only impending free agent among the key receivers is Odell Beckham Jr.

Agholor, originally a first-round pick by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2015 NFL Draft, has compiled an impressive career with stints at various teams, including the Eagles, Las Vegas Raiders, New England Patriots, and now the Baltimore Ravens.

Over his career, he has accumulated 375 receptions, 4,627 receiving yards, and 35 touchdown catches. The Ravens will look to leverage Agholor”s experience and skill set as they aim for success in the upcoming season.
