Transfer Rumors;West Ham sign new star ahead of Crystal Palace clash

While most people’s emphasis has been on David Moyes’s future and whether or not he will remain in charge for the upcoming season, West Ham United has also been focusing on potential transfers in the months ahead. And that includes one guy who the Hammers may have made a wise acquisition.

News about transfers involving West Ham

When West Ham used Declan Rice’s money to add Mohammed Kudus, Edson Alvarez, and James Ward-Prowse to Moyes’ squad last summer, they showed off their financial strength. After battling their way out of the Premier League just one season ago, it must be admitted that those signings have had an impact at the London Stadium, as the Hammers are currently positioned ninth.Nonetheless, West Ham, who frequently aims for a spot in Europe these days, can focus on making even more progress this summer. The London team has already been linked to deals for players like Hayden Hackney of Middlesbrough and Tiagro Santos.

It must be noted, though, that additional signings might depend on who is in charge of the dugout; Graham Potter, Julen Lopetegui, and Steve Cooper have all been suggested as possible Moyes replacements when his contract expires this summer.

The addition of a possible future star could at least help whoever takes over. West Ham is reportedly considering a deal for Olly Box of Dartford, whom they have been scouting alongside Crystal Palace this season, according to Graeme Bailey of HITC. For the youthful central midfield player, it would be a significant step up to play alongside one of the best players in non-league football.

Not only have West Ham and Palace shown interest in Box, but Brentford, Millwall, Leyton Orient, and Middlesbrough are also said to have watched him closely in preparation for a summer transfer.

Box “excelled” with Dartford at the academy level.

Box might make the transition from non-league to the Premier League in the upcoming months after generating a lot of interest with his performances with Dartford in the National League South. Box has scored three goals in his first seven games of the current campaign, which is undoubtedly indicative of a player on the rise.

Ben Greenhalgh, the manager of the Dartford academy, predicted Box’s ascension after giving him high marks when he originally signed a senior contract. He said on the team’s official website:
