Coventry City are interested in a move for Levski Sofia’s Andrian Kraev, according to Sportal.bg.
Coventry City have been linked with a swoop for the midfielder this summer along with Championship rivals Hull City and Middlesbrough.
Kraev, 25, is out of contract at the end of this season and his future is up in the air.
Here is a look at three alternatives the Sky Blues should keep in mind…
Luca Connell
The 22-year-old has established himself as a key player for Barnsley in League One. The Tykes could face a battle to keep hold of him at the end of this campaign, especially if they don’t get promoted under Neill Collins.
Connell rose up through the ranks at Bolton Wanderers before Celtic landed him as a youngster. He then spent three years in Glasgow before heading back down the border to England in 2022 to move to Oakwell.
Connor Barron
He has a bright future ahead of him in the game and has enjoyed himself at Aberdeen this term. He has become a key player for the Dons after recent loan spells away at Kelty Hearts to boost his development.
His contract with Neil Warnock’s side is up in June and it remains to be seen whether he will be staying put. Swansea City are said to be keen, as per a report by WalesOnline, but he could be ideal for Coventry.
Marc Leonard
The Scotsman would be a shrewd addition by the Sky Blues to add more competition and depth to their options in the middle of the park. He has caught the eye on loan at Northampton Town over recent times.
Leonard is on the books of Brighton and Hove Albion but his chances of breaking into their first-team in the Premier League are slim. Therefore, a permanent switch to the second tier would be a smart move for him.
