Bad news for Hull city

After winning League One in 2020–21, they have progressively improved each season. Attempting to secure a Championship play-off spot is the logical next step.

They appear to be strong candidates for that this season, but despite their strong showings, some players have had trouble breaking into the team, while others might start to draw notice during the summer transfer market.

Having played for his hometown team since he was a young boy, Jacob Greaves has stated on record that his goal is to take the team all the way to the Premier League.

But, if the Tigers are not successful in winning the promotion this time, a long line of elite teams will probably be waiting to recruit the 23-year-old.

Greaves has played in over 120 Championship games and 39 League One games at such a young age—especially for a center-back. His left-footedness simply serves to further distinguish him from the competition and raises his market value.

The defender has already been linked to moves to AS Roma, Nottingham Forest, and Aston Villa, so another successful year in the middle of a Championship team vying for promotion won’t have done anything to turn off suitors.

Hull may struggle to hold onto Greaves if they are not successful in their promotion bid this season.
