The NFL draft is still a few months away, but the Combine is already underway in Indianapolis. That means we can anticipate seeing two months’ worth of NFL mock drafts.
Mock drafts, especially thus early in the process, are a good way to learn about players’ names, possible setups for a team’s draft, and possibly even some trade possibilities. Mock drafters with insider knowledge begin to concentrate on what they anticipate happening later in the process. This year, there will be fewer leaks of information because betting now includes the draft.
Eight draft picks is excellent for the Cleveland Browns, but they don’t get their first pick until the middle of the second round. Fortunately, there are topics to address because an increasing number of national sites are offering mock drafts that go beyond the initial iteration.
Just before the Combine, the 33rd Team used a three-round pick to do that. Many Browns supporters will be pleased with the outcome:
While Benson is a superb three-down back who can eventually keep Nick Chubb healthy, Worthy is a speedster in the mold of Travis Benjamin who could open up the offense.
The only question is whether Cleveland can fill out their defensive needs later in the draft or will those already be filled in free agency?
