The Dodgers will be incredible again this year.
Without a question, the Los Angeles Dodgers have a talented roster, but judging by what superstar Shohei Ohtani performed, it also looks like all of the personalities have team chemistry.
Ohtani traveled through Phoenix for thirty minutes, even though he was not involved in the game on Wednesday, to watch his colleague and fellow Japanese sensation Yoshinobu Yamamoto make his Major League Baseball debut. Yes, it may just spring training, but this just serves to highlight how highly regarded this player is.(RELATED: In his Dodgers debut, Shohei Ohtani hits an Oppo Taco bomb.)
And Ohtani’s drive ended up being worth every minute.
Yamamoto pitched two innings in the Dodgers’ game against the Texas Rangers, the reigning World Series champions. He took full advantage of the chance, striking out three batters in a brief amount of time to have a strong outing that day.
When my Atlanta Braves met (and defeated) the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2021 NLCS, man, I thought those teams were scary, but holy heck. If that same incident occurred in 2024, I can only image the horror I would feel.
Though the Atlanta Braves are a talented team, what better opponent than the Los Angeles Dodgers, who are a free-spending team with Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Shohei Ohtani on their roster?
Yeah, I’d be scared. Not even gonna lie.
Yeah, like I said, it might be spring training, but it’s clear that this kid is gonna be a star.
