Hull City to make checks on key striker ahead of Preston North End trip

Prior to this weekend, Aaron Connolly will be evaluated, according to Hull City manager Liam Rosenior.

Hull City will return to action in the Championship on the road, traveling to Deepdale to take on Preston North End.

The 24-year-old Connolly will need to be examined after suffering a dead leg against West Brom last Saturday.

Rosenior has given this update on his circumstances, according to a HullLive report:”We’re disappointed that Aaron was unable to play on Tuesday due to a dead leg he sustained following the game on Saturday. We’ll have to evaluate him. Although it’s not a catastrophic injury, I believe he’ll be able to play, but he does have a dead leg, so they’re not nice.”

Given that Connolly offers a valuable option at the top of the pitch, Hull will be hopeful he is healthy enough to make the team, if only for Preston. If not, they still have Liam Delap, the Manchester City loan player, out of the picture, so they may choose among Noah Ohio or Billy Sharp.

Rosenior must decide how to approach the forthcoming match after choosing to start the line with either Abdulkadir Omur or Ozan Tufan in previous games.

Connolly moved to East Yorkshire permanently last summer after spending the second part of the previous season on loan with the Tigers from Brighton and Hove Albion..
