We were without Nakamba, Lockyer, and Lonkonga ahead of our FA Cup fifth-round match against Manchester City. It was revealed yesterday that one of our players, who had recovered from an injury and was fit to play Premier League football, had suffered a major setback.
Dan Potts started 23 games in the EFL Championship the previous season as the Hatters won the play-offs and advanced to the next level.
Sadly, Dan’s ankle ligament damage dashed any hopes he had of being a regular starter in Rob Edwards’ lineup. Dan, though, made the required sacrifices to heal from that severe injury, and he recently appeared to be ready for a chance to prove his mettle in the Premier League by being named on the bench.
Regretfully, Luton Today reports that Dan has sustained a major hamstring injury, which I believe he sustained during training, further sidelining him.
Dan must be devastated, as this could mean he won’t be able to see the rest of the season.
We at Vital Luton Town can only hope he gets well soon and enjoys a smooth recovery as he embarks on yet another period of injury rehabilitation.
