Tua Tagovailoa, the quarterback for the Miami Dolphins, may face significant challenges in 2024.
He will be on the final year of his deal unless he signs an extension during the offseason. The Dolphins exercised his $23.17 million, five-year option last March after he signed a four-year, $30.3 million rookie contract.
Tagovailoa, though, is handling it well.
He declared, “I don’t think there’s any pressure.” “To be a Dolphin for life is the aim.”
Remaining in Miami would actually allow him to spend more time with his former college coach, Nick Saban, who, after retiring as head coach of Alabama, purchased a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Coral Gables, Florida.
Many were taken aback by Saban’s decision to resign, including Tagovailoa.
“I found it shocking,” he remarked.
After learning about Saban’s retirement, Tagovailoa had a conversation with his former college coach a few days later.
He will be spending more time in the Miami area and intends to play golf with the great coach who previously coached the Dolphins from 2005 to 2006.
