Bad news for Riders

Tonight, the Sheffield Sharks look to secure just their second victory of the year, while in America, one of their former championship-winning coaches receives one of the top honors in the industry.

In the British Basketball League, the Sharks are visiting Leicester to play the Riders in an attempt to snap a six-game losing streak that began in 2024.

They have lost three straight league games since the beginning of February, but three of those losses occurred in the Trophy.

In the meantime, the Western Conference is led by their former head coach Chris Finch in this weekend’s NBA All-Star game.

After leading the Minnesota Timberwolves to the top of the Western Conference after 54 games, Finch has earned the honor.

Having won three league titles as head coach from 1997 to 2003, Finch had previously played for the Sharks in the 1990s. After coaching in Germany and Belgium, he began his career as an NBA assistant, which ultimately led to him taking over as head coach of the Timberwolves in the middle of the 2021–2022 season.
