Leigh Doughty has been appointed referee for Rovers’ clash with Bradford City on March 5.
This season, the Lancashire official has officiated 22 games, the most of which have been in League One and the Sky Bet Championship. In those games, he has issued 92 yellow cards and three red ones.
Refereeing a Rovers game will be his second appearance of the season; he officiated the team’s 2-1 loss at Wrexham in September.
The 3-0 victory at Tranmere Rovers in February 2020 was the only other Rovers game he has previously officiated.
Ivan Stankovic and Mark Jones will support Doughty on Saturday, while Ross Joyce has been given fourth official duties.
