Vikings to Make Blockbuster Draft-Day Trade

There are a plethora of alternatives available to the Minnesota Vikings when it comes to quarterback, but two stand out as the best: either re-sign Kirk Cousins to a deal that benefits the organization or trade up to the top of the draft to choose a franchise prospect.

On Sunday, March 3, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported from the NFL Combine that Minnesota is “on the radar” to trade for the No. 2 overall pick in April with the Washington Commanders.

Teams interested in trading for Washington’s No. 2 pick have enquired. There is a desire to advance, even though these offers might not be strict or practical, according to Fowler. “The Vikings (No. 11), Raiders (No. 13), Giants (No. 6), and Falcons (No. 8) are a few teams that might be on the quarterback’s radar.”

The Vikings will likely trade for either Jayden Daniels of LSU or Drake Maye of UNC if they make that trade or one with the New England Patriots to move up to the No. 3 pick.
