At the Weston Homes Stadium on Tuesday, Randall scored his eighth goal of the year—but his first in 11 games—in a 5-1 comeback victory against local rivals Northampton Town. After Posh gave up the game’s first goal within the first ten minutes, he scored together with goals from Ephron Mason-Clark, Kwame Poku, Hector Kyprianou, and Josh Knight.
Randall said to the Posh Plus service, “I know we conceded first, but you could see from the first whistle that were at it last night.” And we are really difficult to stop when we play with intensity and the appropriate mindset from the beginning.
Due to our prior experience, we managed to stick together even though we fell behind. It improved our performance, if anything. We had such a great response when we conceded, and we played with such conviction and confidence that the evening was fantastic.
Now that we’re in the epovery game, we’re going to give it everything we’ve got, and if we do that, the results will speak for themselves.
“I’m glad I’ve been getting into the correct positions so I know what I need to work on, even if I’ve missed a number of scoring opportunities this season. Fortunately, I made it through the ball last night, albeit some of the guys thought my celebration was a little excessive! Hopefully, the goal will boost my self-assurance and motivation to keep scoring.
“This season, we all want to do something extraordinary, and it helps if the top four or five players are performing well. We collaborate so effectively because we all want the best for one another.
