What Mark Robins has to ensure Coventry City beat Watford

Despite Ben Sheaf, a crucial midfield player, returning to the matchday squad following a six-week injury layoff, Mark Robins has chosen to start an unchanged team against Watford, a team in the middle of the table.

The 26-year-old has been fully trained this week and will start on the bench as he nears match fitness. The Sky Blues lineup for Tuesday’s game against Rotherham United remains precisely the same.

As a result, Brad Collins continues to start in goal ahead of Ben Wilson, and the back three is positioned with Bobby Thomas and Liam Kitching on each side of Joel Latibeaudiere in the middle of the defensive trio. At right wing-back, Josh Eccles is again used out of position, starting ahead of Milan van Ewijk, while on the left, Jake Bidwell is again chosen over Jay Dasilva.

Liam Kelly and Victor Torp remain in central midfield, with Kasey Palmer in the number ten position directly in front of them, trailing the two strikers, Ellis Simms and Haji Wright. In addition to Callum O’Hare, who is anticipated to be added later in the game, Matty Godden and Fabio Tavares offer striking support from the bench.

City: Brad Collins; Bobby Thomas, Joel Latibeaudiere, Liam Kitching, Josh Eccles, Liam Kelly, Victor Torp, Jake Bidwell; Kasey Palmer; Ellis Simms, Haji Wright.

Subs: Ben Wilson (GK), Luis Binks, Jay Dasilva, Milan van Ewijk, Ben Sheaf, Callum O’Hare, Fabio Tavares, Matty Godden, Kai Andrews.
