Prior to the 2024–2025 Premier League season, Newcastle United has identified one of their main targets and seems to be solidifying their preparations for the summer transfer window.
When the transfer market opens, the Magpies intend to sign a versatile forward, which would suggest the arrival of someone akin to Anthony Gordon. Although the 23-year-old’s primary position is winger, he has shown this season that he can play up front as well.
In order to replace Miguel Almiron, the Magpies would love to have someone similar on the other wing. Even if the Paraguayan has performed admirably at St. James’ Park, we obviously need a better player if we want to keep moving forward as a team.
And for that reason, reports of a deal for Pedro Neto, a winger for Wolverhampton Wanderers, are highly intriguing.
Newcastle interested in summer deal for Pedro Neto
TalkSPORT claims that Newcastle United has moved Neto to the top of their summer wish list as they begin to decide which deals to pursue.
They claim that the Portuguese attacker is anticipated to leave Wolves, with reports of a reported £60 million transfer cost.
He would be one of Newcastle’s most expensive buys ever with that amount of money. Moreover, the Magpies would need to sell someone in order to raise the necessary funds, per TalkSPORT.
