Hull City plan to send defender back out on loan

According to information on their official club website, Hull City intends to return Jack Leckie on loan to Farsley Celtic before the completion of the current campaign.

Due to an injury, Hull City had to return the young player from his non-league stay for treatment.

Leckie, 20, signed a temporary contract with Farsley Celtic last summer and participated in six games for them in the National League North earlier this season.

He is expected to return to the West Yorkshire team at some time, according to the Tigers.

Hull City loan plan

Hull would be wise to get Leckie back to Farsley Celtic. Clayton Donaldson, a former Tiger, is currently their manager.

In August of last year, the center-back received permission to sign with the sixth-tier team in order to gain some experience.

From 2007 to 2020, he was a member of Newcastle United’s roster. He progressed through the North East club’s academy system and represented the Toon Army at several youth levels.

After spending two seasons at Turf Moor, Leckie moved to Burnley, a Premier League team, four years ago.

Hull then made an offer in 2022, and ever since, he has been a mainstay for the Under-21 Championship team.

The Newcastle-born player’s contract expires at the conclusion of this season, and the Tigers must decide how to go with him in the long run.

He will be eager to get to full fitness in the interim so that he may play a few games at Farsley before the summer.

Hull will now take a two-week respite from competition before departing for a training camp in Turkey. After that, they play Leeds United away and Stoke City at home.
