The news outlet stated on March 14 that, despite the lack of a top striker at the club, Chermiti wants to develop him into one, and he is very much one for the future. It is believed that he will require first-team minutes next season, if not at Goodison Park then elsewhere with a loan still on the cards.
Will Youssef Chermiti leave Everton on loan this summer?
With just 11 Premier League games this season, the 19-year-old has had very little opportunity to make an impression at Goodison Park after joining for a £15 million price in the summer [BBC Sport, August 11].
In addition, he has yet to record a single league start, is currently ranked behind Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto in Sean Dyche’s starting lineup, and only plays eight minutes per game on average. [Sofascore]
Considering the difficulties Calvert-Lewin and Beto have encountered, it is odd that he hasn’t received much of a chance at Everton; however, considering the seriousness of their league standing, Dyche seems to prefer to rely on his more seasoned players.
Considering his age and the fact he has been seen as a player for the future, he would benefit greatly from a loan stint at another location next season in terms of his growth and potential to establish himself as an Everton mainstay.
In other Everton news, Kieran Maguire suggested the team take a “mitigation” approach to PSR.
