Ipswich Town are looking for their star players replacement

Leif Davis of Ipswich Town might have to make a tough choice this summer regarding his future.

The defender was acquired by the Tractor Boys in 2022 for a reported £1.2 million from Leeds United.

Davis became a regular left-back for Ipswich and one of the top full-backs in the Football League after joining the team.

With 34 games, one goal, and an amazing 14 assists, Davis has contributed significantly to Ipswich’s success as they currently lead the Championship.

It could be said that the 24-year-old has been Ipswich’s best player this season, so it is no surprise to see that he is being linked with a move away in the summer.

Premier League clubs continue to circle for Leif Davis

Leif Davis is reportedly being watched by Premier League teams Newcastle United and West Ham United, who are hoping to recruit him in the summer.

Nevertheless, it has also been reported that Nottingham Forest is considering the 24-year-old.

The defender has advanced to become one of the Football League’s top full-backs for both attacking and defense thanks to his performances from the previous season and this one.

Beyond this summer transfer window, Ipswich will be eager to ensure Davis’ future, and they will be hoping that a potential promotion to the Premier League will bolster that cause. However, it has previously been stated that the Tractor Boys would be asking for about £20 million for Davis if that weren’t the case.

So, Ipswich may be facing the prospect of losing their key defender, and therefore, they will need to have suitable replacements in mind. One left-back they should be keeping an eye on is MK Dons defender Joe Tomlinson, someone who has been impressing this season.
