To Daniel Farke’s dismay, the Whites have had several of their games this season shifted to Sky Sports for broadcast, including victories over Sheffield Wednesday and Leicester City.

The Whites made a lighthearted social media post shortly after the Championship announcement, revealing the news “that will shock” Elland Road supporters, even if the match date hasn’t altered.

They said on Facebook on Wednesday, March 13: “We have been picked for TV again, which will surprise LUFC fans!” On Saturday, April 13, at Elland Road, our matchup with Blackburn will now begin at 12:30 p.m.

With almost every match over the last three months being rescheduled from its intended kick-off time, it has almost become expected this season that every Leeds league game will be televised live on Sky Sports.

Both Leeds United and its supporters have expressed a significant deal of annoyance about it, with the manager of the club openly expressing his displeasure with the ongoing scheduling adjustments that he feels undermine his team’s chances of promotion.

It’s unclear if the Whites’ performance will suffer greatly from the two-and-a-half-hour change, but it does seem like the broadcaster is stepping in a little bit in a championship race that has shown to be extremely tight this season.

Leeds should be able to quickly dismiss the change, just like they did against Wednesday and the Foxes, and win all three points. If they hope to return to the Premier League right away, they may need to defeat John Eustace’s team.
