So sad; he has resigned

On Wednesday, the Washington Commanders agreed to terms with Pro Bowl special teams player Jeremy Reaves, making another understated but significant move.

Using social media, the 2022 All-Pro verified the agreement. Jeremy Fowler of ESPN was the first to report on his two-year contract.

“Fans of commanders! I’m happy to be returning HOME! Reaves scribbled, “I got unfinished business,” on X. “Let’s take it back,”

The 27-year-old has played with Washington for his whole six-season career. The University of South Alabama product has had the biggest effect on kickoffs and punt returns, while being labeled as a safety.

Reaves missed the most of the 2023 season due to an ACL tear that he sustained in October. He anticipates being fully recovered for the 2024 campaign.

After the Commanders accepted a contract, they shared a video of a happy Reaves on X.On social media, Reaves posted, “Been smiling ear to ear.”
