Mike Dodds has disclosed that Sunderland has been dealt yet another injury setback following Nazariy Rusyn’s withdrawal from Saturday’s match against QPR at the Stadium of Light.
Dan Ballard’s hamstring injury against Southampton may not be as serious as first thought, according to Dodds, who also mentioned that Ballard might still be able to play. Following the announcement that Jenson Seelt would miss the remainder of the season due to a knee injury, the acting head coach promises to give Ballard every opportunity to demonstrate his suitability for the match.
As of right now, Dodds is unsure about Rusyn’s length of absence; the forward is scheduled to see a specialist during the international break.
Dodds stated, “Naz took a knock during the game.”
“He is not going to be available tomorrow. For a timeline on that, we are awaiting individuals who possess far greater qualifications than me. It might take him longer, or he might return next week.
