Nottingham Forest prepares to welcome a new coach

According to Italian media, Maurizio Sarri was given a three-year contract by Nottingham Forest following his resignation from Lazio, but he declined the offer.

On March 13, the coach submitted his resignation after his team had lost four straight games across all competitions.

As a result, he is theoretically available since he and Lazio might mutually end their contract.

A few days following that event, Nottingham Forest reportedly contacted Sarri’s representatives to inquire about his immediate availability for a new Premier League post, according to Sportitalia transfer specialist Alfredo PedullĂ .

Due to Nuno Espirito Santo’s poor performance and a four-point punishment for Financial Fair Play violations, the club is currently having difficulties.

They were ready to extend a three-year deal to Sarri in exchange for the squad receiving reinforcements during the summer.

Sarri, however, showed little interest in the deal and plans to wait a few months to make a decision.

He’s already been connected a lot to the Fiorentina position, which would enable him to return home.
