After leaving the Blues, the 31-year-old had a year off from football, and in his brief time at Portman Road, he only made 17 appearances. In July 2023, he ultimately joined League One team Exeter City.
It was not easy for him living in Suffolk. He arrived in the summer of 2021 as one of 19 acquisitions, many of whom needed some time to develop to their full potential. The manager who signed him, Paul Cook, was fired in December, and since Kieran McKenna took over, the team has been performing well.
