Sad News: Leeds United as Tom Cleverley shares fresh injury worry

After the international break, Watford returns to Champions League action at home against league leaders Leeds United.

Morris, 22, has become a possible question mark for the Hornets and will need to be evaluated.

James Morris experienced some tightness during the week, but we’re optimistic he will recover, according to Cleverley’s report on his health, which was posted on the team website. Naturally, Jeremy Ngakia and Ken Sema continue to be our mid-term injuries.

Morris gives Watford’s defensive unit competition and depth, so the team will be hoping he’s healthy to play Leeds.

With a contract that runs until the summer of 2026 at Vicarage Road, the left-back has made 14 appearances overall, 10 of which have been in the league.

He progressed through Southampton’s academy’s ranks before joining his present club. Although he was a regular for the Saints at different youth levels, he was released before he made an appearance with the first squad.

After he departed St Mary’s, Watford took a chance on him, and it has paid off as he has been a valuable acquisition.

After Valerien Ismael leaves, Cleverley takes over as interim head coach of the Hornets until the summer.

After a dismal run of results, they fired the former West Brom and Barnsley player, and they are currently in 13th place in the standings.

Watford, nine points clear of the drop zone, comes into their encounter against Leeds fresh off a 1-0 victory away to Birmingham City, thanks to a goal from Emmanuel Dennis.
