Tennessee basketball extended offers to Devonta Lindsey of Knoxville Catholic and Shane Cherry of Austin-East this week. Following a game for the B Maze Elite AAU basketball team, the two received the offers.
Lindsey led Catholic to a 20-8 record this past season and was a finalist for Division II-AA Mr. Basketball. According to 247Sports Composite, the 6-foot-8 forward is the top player in the state for the 2025 class.
On 60% field goal shooting, he averaged 16.6 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. He has offers from SMU, Ole Miss, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, and the Vols in addition to them.
The 5-10 guard finished each game with an average of 28.1 points, 4.4 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 3.1 steals, 2.4 assists, and 1.2 blocks. During the game, he recorded a career-high 53 points.
