There are a lot of moving pieces at Napoli right now, and the Serie A team may have a hectic summer as the Italian team looks for a new manager.
According to recent reports, Antonio Conte, a former Tottenham manager, is reportedly in the race to take over as their next manager. After departing Spurs last year, the Italian manager has not been employed.
According to Italian reports, Napoli is prepared to extend a “extraordinary offer” in an attempt to entice the 54-year-old to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
In addition to signing Conte, the team is targeting Dejan Kulusevski, a standout performer for Tottenham, in the summer transfer window.
The Daily Star print edition (cited by Express) claims that Napoli has its sights set on the Swedish winger and will make an attempt to entice him back to Italy this summer.
Kulusevski has played in Serie A for almost four years, having spent time with teams like Atalanta, Parma, and Juventus.
The fact that Kulasevski is bound by a contract through the summer of 2028 is fantastic news for Tottenham. The club will now have significant leverage to determine his future.
This season, the Swedish international has appeared in 31 different events.
Tottenham will probably want to recoup their initial investment if they decide to sell the winger, however it is unclear how much they value him at.
The 23-year-old was signed by Spurs for a whopping €35 million, which they paid in addition to the €10 million loan they had already given Juventus.
Spurs can benefit from his versatility because he can play on the right flank or through the middle.
In a recent pre-game news conference, Ange Postecoglou talked about Kuleševski and the winger’s versatility.
Postecoglou told reporters, “I think he’s played in every one of those positions you’ve mentioned this year.”
We have a very young group overall, and Deki and I believe that. As such, I constantly pushing him to grow because, if this is the standard for the majority of the group and we can raise them to a new level when we’re already doing fairly well in this competition, then that will help us grow.
