Ipswich Town eyes promotion…

According to a story by The Telegraph, Dieng, 29, is being considered by Crystal Palace, Newcastle United, Sevilla, and other Championship teams before the next transfer market opens.

According to a story by The Northern Echo, Carrick stated: “That’s (the rumors about Dieng) the nature of the beast.” That kind of thing doesn’t really interest me. We are aware of our team’s composition, its players, and their abilities. I’m not bothered by who is connected to whom or what is happening.

Middlesbrough has a deal with Dieng that runs through the summer of 2027, so they are not under any rush to sell him.Despite experiencing a few physical setbacks this season, he has made 29 appearances in all competitions and has preserved nine clean sheets since being moved to Riverside Stadium from QPR last year.

With five caps under his belt, Dieng is a Senegalese international who spent time on loan at Whitehawk, Hampton & Richmond Borough, Stevenage, Dundee, and Doncaster Rovers in order to gain experience.

After that, he played 120 games for the R’s and cemented his position as the team’s number one before moving to Riverside Stadium.

He might help Ipswich, who are hoping to get promoted to the top division, in their goalkeeping unit for the upcoming season. Nevertheless, the league they play in will determine their prospects of signing him.

Dieng wouldn’t be absolutely certain to start in the first team at either Crystal Palace or Newcastle, despite the fact that both teams are already in the Premier League.

This weekend, Middlesbrough returns to action as they attempt to maintain their momentum at home against Swansea City.
