Minnesota Vikings star Justin Jefferson to terminate contract

With his next contract, Minnesota Vikings star Justin Jefferson might reset the market for non-quarterbacks. Uncertainty surrounds his future, meanwhile, in the absence of a deal or discernible advancement in their negotiations.

After allowing Jefferson to finish out his rookie deal on a five-year option, the Vikings have the option to apply the franchise tag twice more.

Eventually, however, a long-term choice must be taken.

Jefferson and the Vikings have discussed completing a long-term project. However, circumstances such as this give rise to trade speculation, and Jefferson is no exception. His off-season training regimens are the most recent development to ignite trade rumors.

On April 3, a video of Jefferson and Cincinnati Bengals player Ja’Marr Chase working out together was shared on Instagram by Mo Wells of Sports Academy.

It undoubtedly caused some controversy on social media.

Tyler Eifert, a former tight end for the Bengals, sparked earlier rumors when he shared a photo of a betting slip showing Cincinnati’s Super Bowl chances on X on March 12 with the comment, “Sources telling me Jefferson to Cincy is in motion.”

Among his many other achievements, 24-year-old Jefferson has had four seasons of 1,000 yards and four Pro Bowl selections.

If the Vikings offered him for exchange, he would demand a ransom.

However, this is not the first time LSU teammates Jefferson and Chase have worked out during the offseason. The two excellent pass catchers are buddies and have shared an advertisement for a mattress firm.
