Sunderland central defender not worried about further injuries

The adaptable defender, who had been out of action for the past two months after making his debut at Portman Road against Ipswich Town back in January, played 30 minutes for the Black Cats in their goalless draw with Bristol City.

“I love playing football and every time I step on the pitch it’s a good feeling so I’m happy to be back out there,” Alese stated. “I was out for just over two months, and no matter how minor the injury, it always feels like a journey to get back.” Although it was a journey, I’m happy to be back.”

During his injury layoff, Alese signed a new contract with the team that would keep him there until the summer of 2027. The previous member of West Ham

“I got 90 minutes for the Under-21s on Wednesday which Doddsy (Mike Dodds) said he wanted me to get,” he stated.He stated, “I have half an hour today, which is whatever he thinks is best. He didn’t want to rush me.” I’ll comply as long as it feels nice to my body.

“Whenever you sustain an injury, it does cause some mental anguish afterward. I would not want the injury I sustained at the close of the previous season to occur again. I’ve been going slowly and will pay attention to my body.

“Even though I’ve had a few injuries, I still have faith in my body. That confidence can occasionally result in more harm.
