Bad News;Texas Longhorns Star Has Been Arrested For…..

Following concerns about an unfortunate driving incident involving Kansas City Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice earlier this week, it appears that another football player, this time at the collegiate level, with the Texas Longhorns, has found himself in hot water after being arrested for a vehicle-related offense, according to NBC (via ML Football).

T’Vondre Sweat Arrested On ‘Driving Whilst Intoxicated’ Charges

The Texas behemoth, who weighs in at 6’4 and a whopping 362 lbs, is projected as a borderline 1st round pick, but was on track to being selected, at the very least, within the first 45 picks of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Many teams, like the Cincinnati Bengals and Miami Dolphins, have been forecasted as strong landing spots for the Huntsville native after an excellent Sophomore year with the Longhorns in 2022, which he followed up with an even better season in 2023, helping lead an improved Texas defense to the National Championship semi-finals against eventual runners up, the University of Washington.

Sadly, after this incident, NFL teams may reconsider his standing on their respective draft boards, and there will no doubt be teams that remove his name entirely.

Unless there are further, more damaging details that arise later, it seems likely that T’Vondre Sweat will remain a pick in the draft, and perhaps even still on day 2.
