Trump Posts Ringing Endorsement from NY Yankees Legend

The legendary New York Yankees player Mariano Rivera announced on Friday that he will vote for his “friend” in November, endorsing the former president Donald Trump.

On Sunday, Trump shared a clip from his interview with WABC Radio NY on his Truth Social page.

2019 saw Trump award the Presidential Medal of Freedom to the storied Yankees closer, which Rivera described as one of the most incredible moments of his life.

“Having been given the Freedom of Honor medal from Donald Trump was amazing. I mean it was an amazing moment,” Rivera told WABC radio Friday, adding, “Receiving that medal was special.”

WABC’s Rosenberg said, “I’m very afraid, Mariano, for New York and this world … I’ve got a 19-year-old daughter, she’s gonna turn 20 on Sunday, and a 15-year-old son, and I think we need President Trump to win or it could be very, very ugly. Do you agree with that?”

“I agree with that,” Rivera said. He added, “President Trump, he’s my friend. I can’t deny that. Before he was the president, he was my friend. Because of that, I’m going to vote for him.”
