The Vikings are holding their final meetings with prospects in advance of the NFL Draft, which include visits with the Top 30 players. They are also finishing up their player evaluations in order to assemble their draft board as April comes to an end.As April goes on, the Vikings will host their last sessions with prospects prior to the NFL draft, which will include visits with the Top 30. Additionally, they will complete player assessments in time to create their selection board.
But throughout the pre-draft process, the Vikings have shown interest in the following prospects. As we’ve talked about in yeaHowever, the following players have drawn interest from the Vikings during the pre-draft process. As we’ve discussed in previous years, a team may show interest in a prospect if they are unsure about him and want to meet with him several times to get answers to their questions; alternatively, they may pretend to be interested in order to hide their draft intentions from the league; and in still other cases, the interest may be sincere and lead to the team selecting that prospect in the draft.
In the past, this interest may have been faked to give the league a false impression about the team’s intentions regarding the draft, or it may have been sincere and led to the team selecting that prospect in the draft. In the latter case, it may have been motivated by uncertainty about the prospect, leading them to want to meet with him several times to get answers to questions about him.
Although not all of the Vikings’ meetings with prospects are made public, these are the ones that we are currently aware of. We won’t know which of the aforementioned statements applies to these prospects until the end of the month.
They have been interviewing all six of the best quarterback prospects in this draft as part of their due diligence, but only the top six have been met thus far. However, the Vikings have not met with Jayden Daniels since the Combine, despite the fact that QB coach Josh McCown and assistant QB coach Grant Udinski attended his pro day at LSU.
