Sad News; They will be out for rest of the season

The Sydney Roosters were defeated by the Canterbury Bulldogs on Friday night, but the victory was not without a price: seven players were hurt in the game.

Throughout the game, injuries were sustained by Blake Taaffe, Harrison Edwards, Connor Tracey, Kurt Mann, Max King, Liliam Kikau, and Chris Patolo. Blake Wilson also left the game late, however he did so due to illness rather than injury.

After suffering a Category 1 concussion and failing his HIA, Taaffe will be out of commission for the next week, and fellow back Connor Tracey will have scans for a damaged calf. Wilson is going to be open for selection.

The good news is that Josh Addo-Carr will be available for the Melbourne Storm match the following week, according to Cameron Ciraldo.

“Connor Tracey in the second half was playing with basically a strain in his calf, and that’s why he didn’t take many carries in the second half,” Ciraldo remarked following the game.

He went on, “He’s actually really good in there which is good,” regarding Taaffe’s state.

In other club injury news, Kurt Mann appears to be out for some time with a fractured hand that may require surgery, and Villeme Kikau (fractured fibula) and Max King (sore wrist) will get scans.
