Because he has been in the spotlight for so long, many ardent NBA fans have seen Stephen Curry rise from modest beginnings to become one of the world’s most well-known athletes.Over time, Curry’s family has expanded as well; in Riley’s instance, the oldest daughter, this expansion goes beyond mere metaphor.
Curry surprised both Golden State Warriors supporters and staff last week by bringing his daughter to work before a game against the New Orleans Pelicans. Everyone saw firsthand how much she had grown from a little child to a young woman.Riley Curry has grown up
When the Warriors and Rockets faced off in the 2015 Western Conference Finals, Riley Curry made his NBA debut in a press conference that will never be forgotten. Riley was a lovely three-year-old at the time, the center of attention at a postgame press conference she didn’t much want to be at. But that nearly nine years have passed, and that child has matured significantly.
Riley followed Stephen Curry into Chase Center for Friday night’s game, which ended in a loss to the Pelicans. Riley is now 12 years old and stands up to her father’s left shoulder.
Riley even helped her father during the pregame shootaround — normally a must-see event with Steph, who plunges deep into his bag of tricks to thrill fans and teammates alike as he warms up for a game. Steph scored a game-high 33 points in only 32 minutes on Friday, but New Orleans took the victory, 114-109, spoiling Riley’s appearance at Chase Center.
