Recently, a video of great quarterback Aaron Rodgers of the New York Jets playing again surfaced on the team’s social media accounts.
With a thrilling link-up play with wide receiver Garrett Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, forty, appears to be returning to his former self. The short video provides a tantalizing sight of Rodgers mimicking a snap and accurately measuring the distance to his partner.
It’s crucial to remember that Rodgers suffered an Achilles injury after just four snaps in his Jets career. His season-long absence dealt a severe blow to the team, which found it difficult to get back on track. Zach Wilson’s preparation as a replacement didn’t work out as planned.
Even though Achilles tendon injuries typically require eight months to heal, Rodgers kept supporters guessing throughout the season about a potential comeback. Sadly, the hopes of a December comeback and a postseason run, should the Jets advance, were never realized.
On the “I Can Fly” podcast, Rodgers recalled his time with the Jets as “one of the highest highs” of his career and shared his sadness over the devastating injury. “This is it, I was genuinely thinking. You don’t recover from this damage,” Rodgers recalled.
“I said, ‘Help, please.'” It’s going to be very difficult. All I need is for you all to support me when things become hard and I lose hope that it’s doable. It’s difficult to ask for assistance,” the speaker continued. “All the miracles that happened along the road would never have happened, as s***** as it was – and it was the most terrible thing that’s ever happened to me.”
Away from the field, Rodgers has been creating waves with rumors that he might dabble in politics. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had even entertained the idea of using the former Green Bay Packers player as his vice presidential running mate in 2024. Rodgers’ coziness with the independent candidate fueled rumors that he might make a political comeback.
Kennedy ultimately chose Nicole Shanahan, a business entrepreneur and attorney, to be his vice presidential candidate. Woody Johnson, the owner of the Jets, also commented on how Aaron Rodgers’ rumored aspirations to become vice president damaged the team. Johnson affirmed, “He’s going back to football 100 percent,” in an interview with Fox News.
“He didn’t ever stop playing football. That was just a brief diversion, similar to entering a dark room or anything. But he’s fully recovered. Great leader. “You count to ten, hold your hands up, and look around; the ball will be there,” I advise the receivers.
