Head coach of Aston Villa, Unai Emery, has denied rumors circulating in German media this week that he is considering a job at Bayern Munich.
The German powerhouses are reportedly interested in Emery, according to Bild, but the Villa manager declined to discuss talks about his future during his team’s 3-1 victory over Bournemouth this afternoon.
Following Villa’s 20th league triumph of the year, Emery was questioned over the connections. He answered with a firm “I am focused here, 100 percent.”
Villa’s lead inside the top four is at six points after their victory over Bournemouth, although Tottenham still has two games remaining. When Villa hosts Chelsea on Saturday before the north London derby, they might further increase their lead within the Champions League spots, which would put even more pressure on Spurs in their remaining games.
This afternoon, Dominic Solanke put the Cherries ahead from the spot. In the opening minute of extra time, Morgan Rogers gave Villa a point back. In the second half, Ollie Watkins was unplayable as he provided two assists to Leon Bailey and Moussa Diaby to secure the victory.
