Right now, Etiosa Ighodaro is a man in great demand.
A few teams, notably ones in Europe, have recently expressed interest in signing the Mamelodi Sundowns striker.
In addition to being linked to a move to France, Kick Off claims that Partizan Belgrade of Serbia expressed interest in the Nigerian player.
The Serbian team had previously attempted to sign the attacker but had Sundowns reject their offer before Ighodaro was loaned to Chippa United. The prior bid was reportedly for R8.5 million.
Ighodaro impresses on loan
The Nigerian has not yet played for the DStv Premiership winners Sundowns, despite being signed by them in 20211 out of Abuja College. Prior to being leased to Chippa the next season, he was originally loaned to the University of Pretoria.
Ighodaro was at his best at Chippa. He scored 10 goals in 24 games, according to Transfermarkt, making him one of six players to reach double digits in the previous campaign.
Kurt Lentjies praised him highly, calling him the Premier Soccer League’s top striker after his outstanding performance.
