Sani Faisal, a left-back for the Super Eagles and Kano Pillars, is expected to sign with Chippa United of the South African Premier Soccer League at the end of the current campaign, according to Soccernet.ng.
The 27-year-old versatile defender is capable of playing in the middle of the defense as a central defender, a wing-back, and a defensive midfielder.
According to Snl 24, Faisal has completed his transfer to Chippa United. Following the conclusion of the NPFL 2023/2024, the defender will join Nigeria’s top goaltender Stanley Nwabali as club partners. In the past, Nigerian football players Daniel Akpeyi, James Okwuosa, and Augustine Kwem have all played for the Chilli Boys.
“A deal between Faisal Sani and Chippa United is almost finalized.” Next season, he’ll probably play in South Africa. Although he is a strong defender, a move to Chippa has been approved in principle, according to the report.
On the other hand, Nwabali is a top target for the Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa; Union Saint-Gilloise, Victor Boniface’s previous squad, is also interested in his services.
Sani has earned two caps for Nigeria. In May 2022, he made his Super Eagles debut as a defensive midfielder, entering the game at the beginning of the second half as Nigeria lost 2-1 against Mexico. A week later, he started the game on the left wing in the team’s 1-0 loss to Ecuador.
