Boston Celtics:They ain’t confined

After the Miami Heat’s loss to the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series, several players, notably Jaime Jaquez Jr., Tyler Herro, and Nikola Jovic, have come under fire for being sighted in a Boston nightclub.

In Sunday’s first game, the Heat, without Terry Rozier and Jimmy Butler, fell short by a score of 20 points against the Celtics. Miami’s offense suffered without Butler and Rozier, as seen by the fact that they only scored 94 points against Boston. The only Heat player to finish with 20 or more points was Bam Adebayo.

In addition to scoring 24 points and dishing out six rebounds, Adebayo shot 10-of-18 from the floor and 4-of-4 from the free-throw line.

Miami also struggled to come to any kind of stop against a Boston club that is loaded with 3-point shooters and skilled offensive players. With 49 attempts, the Celtics made an incredible 22 3-pointers, and every one of the eight players that played for the squad made at least one three-pointer.

Derrick White, Sam Hauser, and Kristaps Porzingis each converted a team-high four long-range attempts.

Rematching the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals, Game 2 of the Heat-Celtics series is scheduled to take place in TD Garden on Wednesday night.

Before the series travels to Miami for Games 3 and 4, the Heat will attempt to tie the series at one game apiece. Miami will probably need Tyler Herro to upend his performance from the series’ first game if it hopes to win against a Celtics team that has been unbeatable at home all season.

It’s fair to say that Celtics guard Jrue Holiday made Herro’s offensive life more challenging. Just 11 points were scored by the Heat guard on 13 field goals in the end. Recall that in his fifth season with the Heat, Herro scored 20.8 points per game, which tied him with Butler for the highest scoring average on the team during the 2023–24 regular season.
