Orlando Magic supporters are relishing every second of the season’s adventure as the Florida team looks to maintain its spot in the first round of the playoffs with two home games left at the Kia Center. The Magic had only made two Playoff appearances in the previous ten years.
The Cavaliers will be trying to complete the job in Florida as they take on a self-assured Cleveland club that has gained momentum after two home victories.
When Jarlen Suggs was assisted off the court in Game 2 on Monday due to a left knee pain sustained from his collision with Donovan Mitchell in the first quarter, there was cause for concern for the Magic.
The 22-year-old was carried from the floor in the first quarter in pain and in visible distress buy miraculously returned to the court after halftime wearing a knee protector. During the game the Magic medical staff labelled the player as ‘questionable’ after diagnosing the knee strain.
Following the game, Suggs, who finished with nine points, six rebounds and five assists in 29 minutes, said he expects to play in Game 3 at Orlando on Thursday.
“I’m good,” he said. “I was able to finish. It will be cool to get back home and get treatment for a couple of days. We play Thursday at 7 p.m. and I’ll be ready.”
