Bad News;Birmingham City Captain out on suspension

Birmingham City centre-back Dion Sanderson is on the radar of Scottish giants Rangers, as per a report from the Daily Record.

After an outstanding loan period at St Andrew’s, defender Sanderson was signed by Birmingham City permanently last summer.

After joining the Blues for £2 million from Wolves, the 24-year-old was made captain. Although Sanderson’s performance hasn’t quite reached the heights of his brief tenure, he has nevertheless made 39 appearances for the team in all competitions.

Although Sanderson has a contract that expires in the summer of 2027, there are rumors that he is attracting interest from other teams as the transfer window approaches.

Rangers have reportedly long admired the Birmingham City center defender, and they will continue to keep an eye on him as the transfer market opens, according to The Daily Record. Although he was first targeted at Ibrox under Michael Beale’s leadership, the player is still respected north of the border.

Rangers are in need of new options at centre-back, so it will be intriguing to see if their long-term admiration of Sanderson comes to anything concrete this summer.
